PVPUSD’s Kim Taylor Named ACSA Region 14 Special Education Administrator of the Year

PALOS VERDES, CA — The Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) has named Kim Taylor as the Region 14 Special Education Administrator of the Year.

Taylor serves as executive director of special education for the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District. During her time in this position, she has passionately advocated for inclusive and equitable educational opportunities for all students, spearheaded the development and refinement of district programs to ensure full compliance with state and federal laws, fostered strong collaboration among staff, teachers, administrators, and parents, enhanced professional development and support services, and cultivated meaningful relationships with families and the broader community.

“Kim Taylor is an incredibly valuable member of our administrative team in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District,” said Superintendent Dr. Devin Serrano. “We are incredibly grateful for her contributions to our students and schools. This recognition is a well-deserved honor and symbol of her hard work and dedication to our school community.”

To be nominated, the individual must be an active member of the ASCA working in school district administration. Finalists are selected by an awards committee. The award recognizes administrators who show exceptional leadership and a commitment to growth and innovation.

Taylor will be honored at the ACSA Administrator Awards Dinner on Thursday, May 1, along with this year’s other administrators of the year. As a regional award winner, she will be moving on to the state level for consideration.
