Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District (PVPUSD) is seeking applicants for the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) Committee. The purpose of this committee is to gain feedback from educational partners which includes school employees, local bargaining units, parents and students about PVPUSD’s LCAP Educational Actions and Services funding allocation. In addition, we wish to seek input from representative District organizations such as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC), and Peninsula Education Foundation (PEF), etc.

 

Once selected, the LCAP Committee will review and provide advisory input on the three-year Local Control Accountability Plan for the year 2026-27.  The Actions and Services outlined in the plan are aligned to annual goals which address state and local priorities as identified in Ed Code Section 52060(d). The state priorities identified are: 1) Basic Services, 2) Implementation of State Standards, 3) Parental Involvement, 4) Student Achievement, 5) Student Engagement, 6) School Climate, 7) Course Access and 8) Other Student Outcomes.

We are looking for members to serve both one- and two-year terms.

 

The PVPUSD 2025-26 LCAP Committee meetings will be held on the following Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room at the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Offices.
